Adriatic Tours 2020

A few great places for Adriatic Tours 2020

For Adriatic Tours, 2020 is going to be yet another great year. Tourism in the Adriatic region is going from strength to strength, and the number of great activities, luxury hotels, restaurants and world class services is ever increasing. So whether you’re travelling for the first time, or you are regularly returning to Adriatic Tours, 2020 will prove to be yet another great year for tours in this region.

At 800kms long and 160km in width, The Adriatic may not be the largest sea but it certainly packs a punch when it comes to beauty. The upper arm of the Adriatic sits cosily between Slovenia, Croatia and Italy, running down the Balkan Peninsula along other beautiful countries such as Montenegro. There are some 1,300 islands scattered throughout its waters, most of which lie along the Croatian coast. Surface temperatures can reach 25 °C (77 °F) in August, so it’s no surprise that for years people have been coming on our Adriatic Tours. 2020 will be no exception.

It’s not only the Adriatic Sea that is alluring here though. Head inland away from the beautiful bays, inlets and harbours and you’ll very soon find yourself in a mountainous world where the limestone peaks of the Dinaric Alps taper off into sparkling verdant valleys resplendent with shimmering lakes amid breathtaking canyons and gorges. Our Adriatic tours 2020 will show you the best of all of these, but for now here are a few of our favourite places.

Adriatic Tours 2020 in Istria

Situated right at the northern armpit of the Adriatic Sea, on the eastern side, the Istria Peninsula runs from Slovenia down into Croatia. The peninsula separates the main part of the Adriatic Sea and the Kvarnar Gulf. In this small gulf, lie the beautiful islands of Krk, Cres and Losinj. Further southwards along the peninsula there are numerous sights such as the fabulous fortified hilltop village of Motovun overlooking the lovely Mirna Valley. Known as the Istrian Fjord, Lim Bay and Channel is a beautiful sunken karst valley that stretches 13kms from inland to the sea.

At the far southern tip of the peninsula the town of Pula is the largest on the peninsula. Pula airport is served from numerous destinations, so it’s the perfect starting point for your Adriatic Tours 2020. Pula is also a great location for an incentive trip, with its Roman amphitheatre being one of the best preserved in the world.

Dalmatia Adriatic Tours 2020

Dubrovnik, need we say more? The heart and unofficial capital of Croatian Dalmatia is a Mecca for regular, MICE and incentive tourism. Game of Throne fans will also love Dubrovnik, and we are offering many Game of Throne themed incentives on our Adriatic Tours 2020. The surrounding region of Dalmatia also offers unparalleled beauty with its numerous islands, and the nearby Konavale Valley will take you into a world of vineyards and orchards where you can sample some of the best of Dalmatia’s local delicacies.

Montenegro Adriatic Tours 2020

Montenegro is truly a breath of fresh air, and a place seemingly right out of a fantasy world. Mountains meet the sea in spectacular fashion here, and there is so much to see. Montenegro is a country of world records. Lake Skadar is the largest and most beautiful lake on the Balkan Peninsula, Tara River Canyon is the longest canyon in Europe. The world’s highest mausoleum sits atop Mount Lovcen.

Slovenian Istria Adriatic Tours 2020

While it may be the shortest coastline along the Adriatic, it is still a beautiful place to visit. The quaint harbour towns of Piran and Izola with their lovely Venetian architecture and interesting medieval churches are just one reason. You can stroll along the promenades and eat in one of the many waterfront restaurants, or try a spot of gambling in Portoroz. Or take a boat trip to Venice.

Just the tip of the mountain peak

Of course this list doesn’t even touch on the amount of places there are to see on our Adriatic tours. 2020 is booking up fast, so make sure you get in touch quickly so we can plan your perfect incentive trip and get everything booked for the 2020 season.
